What is an Energy Audit ?
Much more than a simple Energy Performance Certificate, an energy audit provides a detailed analysis of building data to deliver a quantified and well-founded proposal for energy-saving programs.
It is a comprehensive assessment based on real consumption calculations to evaluate the building’s energy performance and identify sources of energy loss — a true energy diagnosis of the building.
Beyond improving efficiency and cutting operational costs, the energy audit is a fundamental step toward carbon neutrality. By identifying concrete actions to lower energy demand and integrate renewable energy solutions, it empowers project owners to significantly reduce their carbon footprint and actively contribute to the global fight against climate change.

Dynamic Thermal Simulation (DTS)
To go beyond the energy audit and address thermal discomfort during summer, a Dynamic Thermal Simulation (DTS) can be carried out.
Summer comfort has become a key concern in recent years, especially with climate change and the increasing frequency and intensity of heatwaves.
DTS is a powerful tool used to analyze how indoor temperatures evolve over time in different zones of a building. A detailed 3D digital model is created to accurately factor in solar gains and internal heat sources.
Summer comfort is assessed using two main criteria:
-
Maximum temperature reached in occupied areas
-
Number of discomfort hours over a given period

The energy audit takes into account all energy consumption areas, including:
- Domestic hot water (DHW) production
-
Ventilation
-
Cooling
-
Lighting
-
Auxiliary energy consumption
-
Installed equipment
-
Other uses (office equipment, household appliances, etc.)
-
Specific electricity consumption
Renewable Energy Feasibility Studies
We support your decision-making process for implementing renewable energy systems, whether it be geothermal, solar thermal, or solar photovoltaic technologies.
We hold all the necessary OPQIBI and RGE certifications to meet your project requirements (in France).
In alignment with national directives and a commitment to continuous quality improvement, BatiMgie is certified RGE for:
-
Energy Audits – Certifications No. 1905 and 1911
-
Geothermal System Engineering – Certification No. 2013
- Feasibility Studies for Solar Photovoltaic Systems – Certification No. 2011
-
Engineering of Solar Photovoltaic Installations – Certification No. 2015

Who Can Request an Energy Audit or a Feasibility Study?
